I hope everyone had a nice new year's eve and is having a good new year!! Early new year's eve morning I went to my aunt's house to learn how to cook Onishime and ate lunch with her. After that I met up with Steven and went to Musashikosugi to go to a post office to mail some stuff and we were planning on exploring Musashikosugi, but it was too cold, so we came home. Steven and I spent rest of our new year's eve with my father and my step mom. We ate a lot of good food and watched Kohaku(a special music program for a new year's eve every year) on TV...Pretty much normal for a Japanese new year's eve...I think.
Today we ate brunch with my father and my step mom. We ate Ozouni with homemade Mochi that was made by one of my father's sisters which also had Pikachu kamaboko in it(^-^)!!! After that we were supposed to go to my aunt's for new year's day dinner, but I wasn't feeling so well, so Steven and I stayed at home. As I got little better later we went for a walk and went to Hiyoshi station. Around Hiyoshi station almost all the stores were closed and the town was almost empty...it was weird to see that since there is a big university there and it's always really crowded!!! We found a book store that was open and we bought some magazines and books...I bought 2 magazines and one of them came with a lunch box!!!

It makes me want to pack my own lunch and go somewhere(^-^)!! Steven said that he wants his lunch in lunch box from now on(*-*;)...Maybe it's even more fun when you are at home!!!
