Hi there!!

I'm back!! I had my baby on April 29th. The birth was crazy...I had to stay in the labor room for 36 hours and they had to give me 2 different medicines to help my contractions get stronger, but they didn't get strong enough, so I had to get a c-section and I had to stay at the hospital for 10 days(*-*;)....I have to say it wasn't the best experience ever(*-*;)...but my baby boy is doing good and getting bigger and bigger everyday, so it was all worth it(^-^)!!

I can't believe that it's been like 3 month since the last time I posted anything here....I'm still alive and doing good....Just in case you were wondering...Yes, I'm still pregnant(^0^)!!

We've been having a quite cold spring here in Japan this year, so Cherry Blossom trees didn't start blooming until like last week. There are whole bunch of them across the street from our house, so we can see them from our balcony which is really nice(^-^). I started taking pictures of them this Monday and they are finally pink!! Here are some pictures of them...

I forgot to take any pictures of them yesterday(*-*;)...but today is nice and warm!!

Matryoshka craze...

I have been in love with Matryoshka for a while and my love for Matryoshka got stronger after I came back to Japan!! Everywhere I go...there are tons of Matryoshka goodies!!! It's really dangerous for me to see all of those things at stores(*=*).....Pictures above are some of the things I have...

I have been having some problems with some fingers on my right hands and I talked to a midwife and she said it's something to do with pregnancy...and she also told me to stop crocheting(*-*;)...so I'm taking a little break from making crocheted stuff until the baby is born.
I hope it's still okay for me to sew something....(*-*;)

I just listed some fat quarters in my Etsy store today!! I will be getting more(and cuter...) fabrics soon!! Please check them out!!

I made a french bread loaf the other day, but it wasn't so great(*-*;)....so I made it into some french toast this morning and they worked out great(^-^)!!!

Baby Sewing Project #1

I bought an issue of Tamago Club magazine(one of the famous pregnancy magazines in Japan) a couple month ago...and the magazine came with a bib making kit, so I gave it a try!!

The kit came like this...

It came with an instruction booklet and a pattern, some fabric and a set of Velcro fasteners. It was supposed to be a thin bib and I wasn't really excited about that idea so I used a piece of fleece interfacing for a little support.

The bib has the Tamago club logo on it!

Finished product....It was super easy and I like how it came out(^-^)!!

Linda and Greg gave our baby his/her first Sock Monkey doll for Christmas!!!(Thank you, guys!!) I have tons of Sock Monkey fabric that I've collected over the years and I wanted to use some of it to make something to go with the Monkey plush!!

Here's the bib I made using the Tamago Club pattern. I used a pair of snaps instead of Velcro for closure this time and for the backside of this bib I used some blue sock monkey fabric to go with the main fabric so it could be reversible. It took about 10 minutes to finish this bib and it was so much fun to make(^-^)!! I'm guessing I will be making more of these from now on!!

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone had a nice new year's eve and is having a good new year!! Early new year's eve morning I went to my aunt's house to learn how to cook Onishime and ate lunch with her. After that I met up with Steven and went to Musashikosugi to go to a post office to mail some stuff and we were planning on exploring Musashikosugi, but it was too cold, so we came home. Steven and I spent rest of our new year's eve with my father and my step mom. We ate a lot of good food and watched Kohaku(a special music program for a new year's eve every year) on TV...Pretty much normal for a Japanese new year's eve...I think.

Today we ate brunch with my father and my step mom. We ate Ozouni with homemade Mochi that was made by one of my father's sisters which also had Pikachu kamaboko in it(^-^)!!! After that we were supposed to go to my aunt's for new year's day dinner, but I wasn't feeling so well, so Steven and I stayed at home. As I got little better later we went for a walk and went to Hiyoshi station. Around Hiyoshi station almost all the stores were closed and the town was almost empty...it was weird to see that since there is a big university there and it's always really crowded!!! We found a book store that was open and we bought some magazines and books...I bought 2 magazines and one of them came with a lunch box!!!

It's Cath Kidston for Moms and Kids magazine. They have so many cute things in their web store!!

It makes me want to pack my own lunch and go somewhere(^-^)!! Steven said that he wants his lunch in lunch box from now on(*-*;)...Maybe it's even more fun when you are at home!!!

Santa's little cookie house.

So...I tried to make a ginger bread house from scratch. Doesn't it look more like a dog house than Santa's house!? Well...I guess it's good for my first time trying!?

I made patterns and just cut out the parts with a knife. This dough isn't actually ginger bread dough...I just used a regular butter cookie dough this time.

I made some thumb print cookies with the left over cookie dough(most of them were eaten by a certain someone already...).

I'm off to bake some more stuff for tomorrow and Steven and I will head to our church for the Christmas eve service. I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas(^-^)!!

finally decorated our tree....This year my step mom gave us a bunch of key chains that she got from crane machines(^0^)...so we decorated our tree with those...

We have decorated our teeny tiny hall way(on top of the shoe storage...) with Christmas stuff...

We put another tree in the hall way, too...This tree was something I used to use around Christmas time to hang my key chains at Craft shows...

I have to go do some Christmas shopping this afternoon...I hope I will find something good for my hubby...

My husband and I are happy to announce that we are pregnant!! I'm 20 weeks now(^_^)!!

This is the ultrasound picture that we got last time when we were at my OBGYN's office(It's actually a hospital...) and the baby's face looks kind of scary there(*-*;). We asked if the doctor could find out the sex of the baby, but it was too early...Hopefully we will be able to find out whether we are having a boy or a girl next week(^-^)...

Because I'm pregnant...I had to go to a mother's class at the city hall and on my way back home I found a local bakery that has been really popular in this area (apparently they have the flakiest croissants!!)...and I found it from the platform of the station and when I went back there on Monday....It was closed(*-*;)...I will have to go back there some other day....

We finally put our Christmas tree out...but we don't have any lights for it, so we haven't really decorated it yet(*-*;)...We would have to go get lights for it somewhere...Our stockings are out, though...

Total randomness....We have been going to a church in Tokyo and on our way back home we try to explore the Tokyo area...and last time we were in Yuurakucho we saw this Godzilla statue(*-*;)...I guess this was somewhere he destroyed in a movie or something!? Weird....

It's time to decorate the house for Xmas!!!

...well we are having a house warming party with my mother side of family(with 18 people) this Sunday and there will be 3 children who might destroy everything( I meant it!!) so we haven't really decorated our house for Xmas yet(*-*;). Maybe we will put our Xmas tree out after the party(^_^)!!

I have been wanting to make a Ginger Bread house for Xmas, but I have never tried before...I just received an email from Williams-Sonoma and they apparently sell "No Bake" ginger bread house kits there now...It's perfect for someone like me(who had never made any ginger bread houses from scratch), however I'm nowhere near their stores now(*-*;)

I went to a local Muji store the other day and realized that they are selling ginger bread house kits(only it's not ginger flavored...) that you have to bake...
You can make a house like this...It's probably easy enough for me to do...Maybe I should try the Christmas tree kit first...

There are so many things that I want to make for Christmas this year...I'm too excited(*-*;)...

I hope everyone had(is having!?) a good Thanksgiving!! We had our Thanksgiving with my parents, my aunt and my brother(^-^)!! We had all kinds of Thanksgivingy-food...but I totally forgot to take any pictures(*-*)...It was really yummy and everyone seemed to love everything!! We have a lot of left overs for today's lunch and maybe for dinner as well(^o^)!!

My aunt brought some goodies for us to eat, but we had too much stuff to eat already yesterday, so I'm having a Taiyaki and a cup of tea for breakfast this morning!! Yum(^-^)!!!

Hello Hello!!

I hope everyone is having a good fall/winter season!! I'm still in the process of getting things in their places...We had our movers came on October 23rd....There were 134 boxes of stuff and since our new home is a lot smaller than our house in US....We have been struggling to find places for EVERYTHING for about a month now!!!(We're also having a problem with our wi-fi connection because of all the stuff we have...) I was hoping to post some pictures of our house, but it will be another a couple of weeks....We are having a house warming party on Dec.6th, so I will have to get the house ready by then!! I don't know if I will be able to get rid of all the boxes, though(*-*;)...

Anyway, Someone sent me an Etsy conversation and let me know that my fox scarf is in her fox treasury!! It's really cute!!! Thank you for including my scarf(^-^)!!

We have a lot of stuff going on this week!! I have to go do some errands now...Busy busy!!

We have been having some good weather here in Yokohama!! It makes me want to go out and walk around ...(^-^).

Yesterday, My friend Aki and I went to Jiyugaoka and had lunch and walked around all day long!! It was so nice to see her and it's also so weird that we haven't really changed since High School...(*-*;)...I guess that''s a good thing!?

After lunch, We went to this super cute tea store in Trainchi. I can't drink any tea right now, but I fell in love with their tins(>_<)!!! I got some caramel tea, orange tea and berry blend tea(which I can drink!) and gave them to Steven since he loves teas...and he's been trying all kinds of flavored teas.
...and of course I will keep the tins(^v^)!!!

We walked around and did some more shopping here and there...and we had doughnuts at the Doughnut plant!! I had a Tres Leches doughnut and Aki had a salty caramel doughnut!! There is another doughnut store across the street....They have really cute tote bags and Aki bought one...I will try their doughnuts next time(^-^)!!

After hanging out with Aki, I came back to our home town and went to the store in front of our building to get some groceries.

We had "Japanese dude" tofu (What a name!!! ) for dinner...It was surprisingly good(^-^;)...

I'm going to Costco with my family today!! It will be exciting now that we have a fridge to stuff....(^0^)!!

Hello! Hello!!

It's been a month since my hubby and I came back to Japan...We were slowly getting things ready and we finally finished remodeling our condo yesterday!!! It's been really rough for us to live in our condo without.....Everything(>_<)!!! Luckily my dad and my step mom live in the same building, so we were able to eat and take showers and stuff(^-^)....I'm sure it was hard on my step mom to take care of us everyday...(*-*;). Thank you, Nayomi~!!!

As we were getting our condo ready...My step mom and I went to Kojima Denki (which is located right next to our condo) to get all kinds of appliances for me and Steven to use(my step mom knew somebody there, so we were able to get discounts!!!). The big stuff istn't here yet, but I managed to get a bread maker and I have made 2 loaves of bread so far...

It's so nice to eat fresh bread straight out of the oven!!!(not exactly from an oven...but still...) I can't wait to get our new oven, so we can make all kinds of different bread!!!

One day, Steven and I went to the Immigration and the city hall to take care of his VISA stuff...We went to McDonald's to eat lunch. I usually order the Chicken Nugget set in the US, but they only have nugget set for Happy meals here, so I ordered a Chicken Tatsuta burger without cabbage and any mayo and a lady at the register made a weird face.....( I guess no one orders anything like that!?)

This is the Chicken Tatsuta that I ordered....It was pretty good without any condiments(^-^)!

We have been seeing our friends here and there(but not so much yet...). Right after Steven and I arrived Japan....Our friend/a fellow Tokyo Pop creator Tony Salvaggio and his wife Rain came to Japan to visit!! We went to see them in Shinjuku and ate soba and waffles!! It was so weird to see Tony in Japan....but it was so much fun to see him and also meet his wife for the first time(^-^)!! Steven and I went to see our friends Midori and Shota later that week and hang out in their house. Midori cooked for us and we played with their cat a little bit...It didn't feel like we hadn't seen each other for over 2 years...

We went to see Steven's former band member Brian and his wife Takako yesterday. We hadn't seen him for over 10 years or so!!! They told us that he and his wife just got married like a month ago(^-^)!! We went to Shibuya and they introduced us to a nice American restaurant(!?) which was on a roof top!! I wish I took pictures of the place(and their food!!!). After dinner we went to Cold Stone Creamery!!! I had never been to Cold Stone before and it was very yummy(^v^)!!!

painting...(*-*).

...I'm still painting the walls in my house(*-*;). Today I did some touch ups in my sawing room and my husband's office and started painting some closets. It's fun, but it's taking so long and since I'm not a tall person...I have to get on and get off a ladder so many times and it's very tiring(*-*;). I was too tired to finish all of them up today...I will have to finish painting rest of them tomorrow and we're getting new carpets in all the rooms that are carpeted on Monday...that means we have to move furniture by then...It's like never ending...I guess this is what you have to do before you try to put your house on the market(^0^;).

I was too tired to go to a store today, so Steven went shopping for me and got some groceries and he got me a piece of cake to cheer me up!!

It's a yellow cake with raspberry jam and vanilla cream and it's the best cake that I have eaten lately!!! It totally inspired me to make some vanilla cream cupcakes with raspberry filling!!!

I had been looking for a big black bag that I can put everything in!! I carry a lot of stuff everywhere and I could never find any bags that meet my needs...When I went to Ikea the other day, Steven and I also stopped by H&M and I found this bag for $10! It's big enough to carry everything...I mean EVERTHING!!! This will come in handy when we go to SDCC next week! This will also make a great movie bag(^v^;)...Oh, speaking of movies...I have to go see the new Harry Potter movie soon!! I guess it will be after we come back from San Diego, though(*-*;)...

VBS and Garage sale...

I was helping with VBS at our church last week and I had so much fun!!! This year...I was a kitchen helper and I got to prepare(play with food!?) snacks for kids and I got to meet some wonderful people!! I had to wake up at 6:30am everyday, but it was totally worth it(^-^)!!

Last Saturday, Steven and I had a garage sale and we thought we weren't going to get that many people because of the economy and stuff...but it turned out we had a lot of customers!! Some people got mad at me when I told them that our garage sale was going to start at 10:00am while I was getting ready(okay...I knew it was kind of late to start a garage sale at 10:00am...but we are not morning people!!!) and made some nasty coments and left(*-*;)..but everybody else was really nice and we had a good sale!!(I wish I took some pictures of the garage sale...but I totally forgot...) Steven and I have been painting walls all over the house since Saturday and we just got done painting our garage. It looks almost new and I'm really excited about that! I didn't know that painting walls can be so much fun(^0^)!!

I am off to paint more walls...I hope everyone is having a good Monday!!

We don't do much for July 4th every year, but we do eat something "Red, White and Blue"...and for this year I made Blueberry scones with strawberries, Blueberries and whipped cream for our breakfast!!

We worked on our yard a little bit after we ate our breakfast this morning and we are now heading to Ikea to get some stuff for the house...very patriotic, isn't it!?(^v^)...

Kraftwork!!

I would like to thank everyone who stopped by our table at KRAFTWORK yesterday!! I forgot to bring my camera, so I didn't get to take any pictures of the show(*-*;).

It was my first time at KRAFTWORK and there were so many cool vendors and so many cool things that they were selling....I wish I could have looked around and talked to all the vendors...but I was pretty much too nervous to talk to anyone...I can't believe I'm still like this after 10 years of living here(*-*;)...Hmmm I guess the craft shows are kind of different from anything else...I kind of get intimidated by all the artists(same goes for conventions...)...I don't know why(*-*;)...

Anyway, I had a chance to trade one of my products for these cute cards from Jane Hancock Papers!! She had so many pretty things at her table!!!

I wish I could have asked more people to trade with me...but it's always scary to ask people that, ...I'm such a wus(*-*;).

There was a craft swap station presented by Re-construct DVD and I got to drop off some of my fabric stashes and zippers that I couldn't use...Since I was trying to get rid of most of my craft supplies and I didn't know what to do with them...it was a great opportunity for me to drop them off and someone else can enjoy them(^-^)!!

A-kon-Day 1!

Day 1 started kind of early...just for me...It was because we were in somewhere new(again just for me...) and we had never been to A-kon before, so I didn't know what to expect...

I got up before 7:00am(which is super early for me..) and Steve was still sleeping...so I went to a gym to work out and I worked out for about 30 minutes and went back to our room and took a shower...and before I knew...it was already after 9:30am, so we headed to the convention.
The artist alley actually started at 8:00am...but we got there around 10:00am. Our table was at the corner of Artist alley and it was in front of the signing area!! Our neighboors were Paul B. and Tony on our left side and Apple Geeks on our right side(who were super nice people!!!).

We took some PH and PH2...and right after we opened our store(!?table!?) people started coming by and said "Hey! PH2!!! I have been looking for this for a long time!! I couldn't find this in any book stores...Why don't they sell this book???"...I really didn't know what to say to that question...(*-*;)....(and several people asked me the same question...

We took some of SHC stuff there, too...People there seemed to like the cupcake keychains and donut coin purses a lot!!

Friday was "Panel Day" for all of us and Steve had 3 panels, Paul B. and I had 2 panels and Tony had 1 panel to go to...I managed to go to 1 of them, but I didn't go on the second one...I just watched people talk and it was a really funny panel!! I was so glad that I wasn't on that panel...(*-*;).

After the second panel I got hungry, so I went to the green room(a guest suite) and they had so much stuff to eat...but the lady there asked me if I wanted to eat something else...and they were going to make whatever I wanted...!!! I told her that I wanted to get some Quiches and bottled water to go...and she put my quiches in a to-go box for me and gave me a guest bag, too!!

Inside of the bag...There was a lot of fun stuff like...candy, nuts, toys, balloons and some Texas goodies!!! The A-kon people kept showering us with kindness after kindness(^-^)!!! Thank you, Green room ladies!!

After we closed our store(!?table?), I went back to our room to work on PH2...and Steve went out with Paul B. to get something to eat...I couldn't concentrate on inking, because of the concert(I got too excited...), so I finished about half a page(*_*;)...and it was time for me to go...

Steve, Tony and I went to see Versailles...It was supposed to start at 10:30pm, but it started around 11:20pm...I stood on a chair in the back, so I could see them better(because I'm 5' 3"1/2) it felt weird to see them in a banquet room, but the show was great!! They had some problems with lighting or something, but everything else was awesome!! Steve and Tony liked the show, too!!

After the show, I lined up to get their CDs...but it took so long that I had to give up...(*-*;). I felt bad because Steven and Tony had to wait for me until like 2:00am...(*-*;)...sorry guys...and thank you!!

We went back to our room and went to bed right away...

Dallas, Here we come!!

Steven and I left for Dallas to attend A-kon!! This was our first time to go to this convention, so we were really excited!! Steven used to live in Texas(until he was like 3year old....), so it was kind of nice for him to go back to Texas.

When we got to the ATL airport I bought my breakfast at Wendy's...Somehow I always get my breakfast there...

ATL airport has some cool sculptures...

I started taking pictures of Himawari and people kept staring at her...probably at me, too...(*-*;)

I don't know if I have already mention this before or not....but I LOVE airports!!!...any airport!!!(Don't ask me why...I just love them!! I only like them when I don't have to go to Japan..., though...) Because I bought the cheapest tickets this time we were going to visit 3 different airports!! I was excited about that, too!! I wasn't really sure about Midwest airlines, though....I had never heard of this company until this year...

Hana was also excited about going to Texas...She took some pictures from the airplane...

See!?

Midwest was actually really nice and they served fresh baked cookies...They were so good!!(Okay...I'm not saying this, because of cookies...their service was really nice!!)

We made it to Milwaukee safe and sound!! However, we didn't have enough time to explore there, so we were off to Dallas....

Someone from A-kon came to the DFW airport to pick us up...A-kon people had been already so nice to us even before we got there...and they came to pick us up, put us in a nice hotel room....and so many more things!! We were really thankful for everything they have done for us!!

The organizer told us that they were having a "Meet and greet" later on that night and we were supposed to meet up with the members of Versailles, so Steven could meet them and talk about the stuff that he was going to help them with...

We had some time to spare...and we were starving, so we went next door to the "Plaza of the America" to find something to eat...

That place was beautiful and they even had an ice skate link inside of the mall!!!

Some kids were practicing....

We got our dinner at Samurai Sam's....Steven got a teriyaki salmon bowl and I got a teriyaki chicken bowl.

After dinner, we went to "meet and greet"...and we met with a lot of people there...including the band!!! Actually I was so nervous that I felt like I was gong to throw up...so I couldn't even say hi to them...(How rude was I!???) Because of this, I don't remember rest of that night...(*=*;)...Oh no...

ICE!!!

Last Saturday was ICE!! I would like to thank all of you who stopped by our booth!! Even if the weather was way too hot and I was sweating like a pig , I had a lot of fun as always!!

Steven and I had very hectic schedules for last couple of weeks...what with finishing up PH3, getting ready for A-kon , finishing up orders and stuff....I was so not ready for ICE...I mean it seems like I'm not ready for anything anymore...(*-*;).

There were over 100 vendors this time....It was so nice to get out of the house and walk around in the park!! I just wish I wasn't sweating so much...so I could look around more...(*-*;)

I saw a lot of great looking booths and it made me think about changing my booth layout...I need to make a banner first!!

Bags-I need to come up with new designs(>_<)!!!
Missy Kulik came by and we did a little trade...She gave me those fabulous tights that she made...which made my "Store clerk for a day" Anzu very happy!! I need to make some dress to go with those tights...(^-^)!! I did another trade with a girl from BOHO BOHO, too!! I'm always hesitant to ask if someone wants to trade with me or not...so I was so excited that she asked!!

Awww...I can't wait for the winter ICE!!!

Yesterday....I had a really bad day and I was upset all day long....

Then, A customer of mine sent me these pictures...and they totally made me happy!!!

Isn't she adorable!? I made this alien bunny helmet and a green apple helmet for this precious girl and her mother took pictures of her and sent them to me!! She made my hat look 300 times cuter(^-^)!! You should see the picture of my baby model wearing this...(*-*;)...

I'm sorry that I have been MIA...I have been super busy preparing for shows and making stuff for a local store...

I went to Young Blood Boutique's new location yesterday...it's located in the middle of north highland area and it's 3 or 4 doors from the Atlanta Cupcake Factory!! There are a lot of cool stores and restaurants around that area, so it's perfect!! Their store opening is May 1st., so if you are in the Atlanta area please go check out the new Young Blood store!!

Also, if you are in the Atlanta area....You have to come join us at Inman Park Festival this weekend!! I will be in the same booth as Linda and we will be selling our usual gears and some new stuff!! Hopefully it will be super sunny like last year!!

I was at the Manuel's Tavern Art Show and Sale last Saturday!! There were a lot of cool crafters from the ATL area...including jeli designs!! Linda was there to sell her jewelry, too!!

I found this hat at Patina table and put it on Hana...I think it was meant for real baby, but it was just perfect on her!!! I had to get it!! I hope everyone had a good Easter!!

Steven and I went to Easter service at our church. We were planning to go to the 10:00am service...but we were running late, so we went to the 11:30am one. After that, we headed to the Jednaszewski house...

From Linda's house, Linda and I went to the Irwin Street Market to join in the "Cupcake Bingo" at Sweet Pocket!! We met up with Linda's friend June there(^-^)!

Sweet Pocket makes really yummy(not to mention pretty!!) cupcakes!!

We took Molli and Himawari with us and they enjoyed their share of cupcakes, too!!

I got BINGO!! and won this cute bottle of bubbles!!

After cupcake bingo, Linda had to go get her computer from her office and while we were there she gave us a little tour of her office!!

Himawari had a meeting...She suggested that they make a Blythe TV show...(Wouldn't that be awesome!?)

Linda's company has a lot of different divisions and one of them had cute cartoon character statues in their building!! Can you tell how big the statue is?

She was my favorite....

After we went back to Linda's house, The girls had Easter egg hunting. It was so windy that it was almost impossible for them to stand on the grass...

Momocon Day2

It felt like the second day started out slower and nicer than day 1....I felt that way because they had so many people there the first day that people with regular badges had to stay in line to get into the dealers room...The line was so long that they might have waited 30 minutes in line...(According to a dealers room directer, they had 4000 people for the first day! and last year they only had 2500 people...Wow!!)

They didn't have as much people the second day, but it was still packed!! One lady asked Steve to do a commission picture for her, so he was working on that all day long...I was crocheting and sometimes I greeted customers...

Later that afternoon, I had to go look for someone out side...so I went...and while I was away from our table Linda, Kristen, Jessica and Jessica's husband Phil stopped by!!

About 10 minutes later, they came back...so we decided to take pictures of our girls!!(Thanks to Linda...I have decent pictures!!..Thank you, Linda!!)

I found out that I'm really rough with my dolls......Someday, Steve will have to open one of their head's to fix a string or something(*-*;)...I will be careful from now on...(I'm not rough with someone else's dolls, though...)

When the Blythe ladies and I were walking out of the building I decided to put Hana on Linda's backpack...Linda didn't realized that Hana was there...Hee hee(^v^)!

Just like their den parents(!?)My girls needed to get some sun...

My girls had fun being outside with their friends(since they are almost never outside...they were so happy to be out!!).

After we took some pictures, the Blythe ladies went to other buildings on campus to work on their Blythe con stuff, I went back to the dealers room and got back to work...

While I was sitting at our table, Lewis Cox(He makes the cutest greeting cards, stickers and pins!!!) from across the alley came over and asked me if I could crochet things other than food items...He showed me a card he made and said he wanted me to make the character doll for him!!!! It's totally perfect and I'm super excited(^-^)! So I'm working on that doll now and hopefully I can post pictures of that doll here soon!!

It was a very nice show and we met a lot of nice people there...Hopefully we can go back again next year!! Thanks again for all of you who stopped by our table!! You guys are awesome(^-^)!

Momocon Day1

Momocon was fun! It was a very successful show for us!! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table!!

The day 1 started out with a very bad news...Atlanta was hit by a tornado Friday night and it destroyed some parts of Atlanta including the GA dome, so they had to move the basketball game to GA tech where Momocon was held....Steven and I were really worried about Momocon being canceled because of that....

When drove by downtown Atlanta....everything seemed broken...We had really hard rain and thunder where we live...but no tornados...

When we arrived at GA tech, there were so many cosplayers of all kinds walking around...so we thought "It's not cancelled after all!?" and it wasn't!! Our table was in the dealers room and it was in front of the entrance door, so it was fantastic!! The Momocon people were very nice and helpful in many ways, so everything went smoothly(^-^)!

We had a lot of people stopped by our table and that was really nice!! Some people even said that they have read Pantheon High and LOVED it!!

One guy came over and started to talk to Steven...and he said he loves PH and has both books and he loved them so much that he wanted to donate $7....It was very very nice of him and how thoughtful that was!!! Of course we were sooooo happy to know that someone really likes our comic, but it felt weird to get a donation(*-*;)....We thanked him and kept his money and gave him some stuff from out table....We wish we asked his name and stuff...but it happened so quick that we didn't think about asking him what his name was....If you are him and happened to read this...Thank you!! Please tell us your name and contact infomation!! We will donate your money to some kind of charity(^-^)!

Since we didn't have any signs on our table.....some people thought we were a comic store(^v^)...and asked why we only have few titles of comics...this happened every time Steve was away...(somehow it always happens when he's not there...) and I told them that my husband drew them...they were really surprised and impressed by that.

Steve had a panel to attend from 4pm, so I stayed at the table and I was crocheting the whole time...and suddenly, someone screamed "We're closing the dealers room in 5 minutes!!!"...I thought the dealers room was going to close at 6pm...so I panicked(*-*;)...I was alone...and every time when we leave from any shows we would take everything home even if we have a second day...it seemed like I was the only person who was freaking out and packing everything...I just couldn't understand why no one was taking anything with them...I was the last person there and some Momocon people came to help me pack and carry stuff out...After I got out of the dealers room...I decided to go see Steve's panel and asked this lady where the panel was...and she said "There's tornado coming, so I don't think you need to go look for your husband!!" then I was like "What!????" and the lady said "Let's just go downstairs...that's where you are supposed to go..." so we went downstairs and stayed there for a while.

I called Steve and he said he was still at the panel...and I explained what happened and he decided to come meet me where I was...He came and we waited...while we were waiting for the tornado to go away...20 minutes later...it was gone and we went back to the dealers room...People started coming back to shop...I just felt stupid for not knowing what was happening...I bet the Momocon people thought I was a weird Asian lady(*-*;)...

My order from Hobby Link Japan came today!!

Inside of it was the new Re-ment Bag and Shoes collections.

Since I didn't have a lot of shoes and bags for the girls...I thought these would be great...

Kaede is really happy with her new bag and shoes to go with her favorite dress that Linda got for me for my B-day!!

Hana is super excited about her new camera and boots...I thought she would be too punk for this set, so I ordered some creepers for her...I guess that wasn't necessary...

It turned out that nothing goes with Kurumi's hair...but she's too busy getting ready for a convention and Easter!! She's making everybody wear "Alien bunny" hats.

Sakurako is finally recovered from loosing her eye lashes...She looks quite happy, eh!?

Himawari heard Kurumi wrong and put on a "Lemon helmet" instead of a bunny one...She's not pleased about not getting any new shoes and stuff...I guess I need to order some cute shoes for her now...(*-*;).

Getting ready....

I had a very productive day yesterday...I woke up early, so I started inking at 8:30am(Okay..that's really early for me and my husband)...and by 12:00pm, I had inked 2 pages of PH and cooked 3 really random things to eat....The same thing happens whenever I wake up early....Because of that, I went to sleep early last night and I slept for 9 hours!!! I had been having a problem going to sleep for a while, so I feel great today!!

Yesterday afternoon, I started making a lot of fake food stuff for up coming shows....then my order from Button Arcade came in the mail...Just in time for convention season!!

I ordered some new custom 1" buttons from them and I started making button sets with those buttons and PH postcards that Tokyo Pop sent us before....

Steve suggested that I put each button on the face of each characters on the postcard...I think it turned out really good(even if their faces look a little smaller...) They will be available at Momocon next weekend!

Atlanta Blythe Meet!!

Last Saturday, I went to the Atlanta Blythe meet up!! It was held at the Irwin Street Market. There were 10 people and over 30 dolls(Wow!!)....Almost everybody had their new dolls, so we had a big group!! It's always nice to see all of those Blythe ladies and I'm glad that I got to meet Sewpixie from AZ, Memeeps from SC and Lawdeda's mom for the first time and they were such nice people(^-^)! I sprained my right ankle the day before...and everybody was so nice to me, too...Thank you, ladies(*-*;).

I have wanted to get Mod Molly...but I had to give up on getting her after I bought my Saffy and Aubrey....AND I got to meet Dianne's girl at the meet and I fell in love with her(>-<)!!! She's so pretty and perfect!! Maybe she could be my 7th!?

After the meet, Linda, Jessica, Becca and I decided to take more pictures of our girls in front of this cool vintage fire truck!!

Molli decided to drive the truck...Of course she is the only one with a license to drive!?(even if she is a doll...) Jessica's new girl Aesop and Kaede went along with her.

Becca's girl "Nora" was the "Fire Truck Queen" and she was waving at everyone who walked by!

After the meet up, Linda took Jessica, Becca and I to her house and Greg cooked hamburgers and vegeburgers for dinner!! He can cook a mean burger! He's not just a computer wizard(*v*)... After dinner, Linda, Becca and I played with our dolls for a long time....I even made up an imaginally band for Hana...Maybe you will get to see her band soon!?

It was a really fun meet up! I hope I can make it to the next one, too(^-^)!!

Last week, Paul Benjamin and his wife Lisa came from Texas to stay with us for 2 days before they left for Israel. They brought some comics for Steven to read and this lovely City mug from Austin for me!! This is actually the second cup that they got for me(the last one was from Germany)...

We got to hang out, eat a lot(*-*;) and watch some movies and TV shows....Steven and I had a really nice time with them!! It feels weird that even though we have been working together for almost 3 years now and we didn't get to spend time together until last week....I hope we will get to see each other more often from now on!

Paul finished writing PH3 last month and we're on Chapter 4 now...it's kind of sad to be done with this book, but I'm sure book3 will be better then ever!! Book 3 is scheduled to come out in Oct. this year....Stay tuned(^-^)!!

1. Misuzu is into anything British...She loves to listen to 70's~80's British Rock. Her hero is David Bowie! Hana is a metal head, so she loves to listen to heavymetal!! Her hero are the guitarists from Dragon Force....though she doesn't even know their names(*-*;). Hana is hoping to become the fastest guitarist in the world someday...

I have been kind of sick lately...I don't know what happened to me...My stomach has been bothering me...I thought it would go away quickly, but it didn't I'm still kind of sick...(*-*;).

Steven told me that we might be working on a new secret project(maybe not so secret...) after we finish working on PH3...and we need to start preparing for it now(mostly Steve...not me...). Since the new project might be somthing to do with Jim Henson....Steven asked me to go get a copy of Labyrinth for reference.

Misuzu is so excited that we got a copy of Labyrinth...because she's a big fan of David Bowie!!(so am I!!)

Hana has no idea what the Labyrinth is and who David Bowie is, so Misuzu was trying to explain how wonderful David Bowie is and everything else...(even though Steven thinks he looks like Sigourney Weaver)(^-^).

....anyway,I was watching it this morning as I inked a page of PH3 and I didn't know it was kind of like a musical....(I guess it's understandable since David Bowie is a singer...) and it's so 80's and all thatgood stuff....(^-^;).

Hana was more excited about the Miffy sticker that I found while I was at the store...they are unusual colors and since I've been a big fan of Miffy, I had to get them(^-^)!

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day!! Steven and I had a mellow day...We were going to go out and eat, but we were busy and so tired that we just decided to stay home and make home made pizza!!(which was yummy!!) and I was going to bake a chocolate cake after the dinner, but I didn't(*-*;)...and made the cake the day after....My gift for Steven didn't arrive by Thursday, so I just gave him a card and 8 boxes of Necco(^-^;) and he gave me a card and a box of chocolate that the box could turn into a pin cushion!!!(smart, eh!?) Since White day is next month....we didn't go crazy over the Valentine's day this year.

The craft show season is coming up soon and we will have a lot of small conventions to go to this year and we need to finish up PH3 by this summer...I decided to start making bags now, so I won't have to freak out right before the shows...This bag is made with 2 kitchen towels and some navy blue cotton fabric.

The bag has a big inside pocket which is big enough to put a Blythe in. The pocket is lined with an elastic band.(^-^)!!

It seems like people love lots of pockets, so I put 2 on the outside as well...I still need to put some kind of a closure on the outside and a matching flower pin to go with the bag!

Here's my new doll....Himawari(which means Sun Flower in Japanese). My husband thinks that she looks like one of those Playmates, because of her platinum blond hair...I thought her curly hair makes her look a little bit old...I'm wondering if I should make her hair straight or semi-straight!?...or not!?

Since I have 6 dolls now...It's like having a sorority at home(^-^;)...so here we are...

When I was changing Kaede's eye chips...one of them fell off and stayed in her head. Since she's a SBL doll and I was so scared of opening her head...I just left it in there(*-*;). I heard that you can open Blythe's head a little bit from the neck area to get the eye chip out....so I asked my husband to try to get it out for me...It really worked!! and he was able to take the eye chip out!!

but while he was doing that...Kaede looked like this(*-*;)...I'm so glad that she's all fixed now.

Steven and I went to a local comic store today...and I decided to take my Aubrey along...

Her name is "Hana"(which means "Flower" in Japanese)...she was actually named by my husband who thinks she's really cute...but still calls Blythe "Creepy dolls"(*-*;).

The owner of Dave's comics(Dave...of course!!) thought she was creepy, too...but he was kind enough to let me take pictures of her in his store(^-^)

Battle of planets(Gacchaman) was one of my favorite anime shows when I was little...and Hana has no idea why she had to take a picture by those dolls...

Dave's comics has a lot of cool comics, toys and Gachagacha machines!! Hana seems to like Gachagacha machines a lot!!!

I haven't named my saffy yet....Any good names for her???

Vintage Love

Someone contacted me and said that she really liked my crocheted strawberry donut and she was interested in doing trade with me if I was up for it.... and she directed me to her store...

Her store had a lot of beautiful vintage patterns....and if you really know me, I love things from 50's and 60's(maybe 30's and 40's, too...), so I had to say "YES!!!" to her offer!!

Mini meet and another surgery...

I met up with some Atlanta Blythe people for a mini meet last Saturday. There were 4 of us that day, but we had 11 dolls....now that's a lot of dolls!! We talked and talked and I got a lot of good tips for customizing dolls and stuff!!! It's always fun to see those Blythe ladies(^-^)!

After the meet, Linda washed Kurumi's hair with boiled water, so she could have nice straight hair(her hair was super frizzy!!!) and it worked and it made her hair soft and smooth, but somehow her bangs got stuck up like she had a bed head...so after I went home, I ironed her bangs and trimed them a little and she looks so much better now!!

Linda also changed Sakurako's eye lashes for me...She looked scary without her eye lases....

and this is what Sakurako looks now...She and I are very happy with the result!!(Thanks, Linda!) I will try to change change eye lashes by myself next time...

I went to the post office to send some donuts and cupcakes to this super fantastic store in Japan today...Yes, it's a new store for me to work with... and I'm really thrilled about this....BECAUSE....That store is in Daikanyama and it's close to Junnie Moon!!!

SOOO...next time when I go back to Japan...I will make a trip to Junnie Moon and soak up all the Blythe goodness....and go to Cafe Hana to eat a cupcake and drink a glass of ice latte....then go to this store....Hmmm...sounds like a great plan for me! I will be back with more details about the store later(^-^)!!

Misuzu and Kurumi are wearing fabulous hoodies from Blythe Station that just came in the mail today!! They are just so well made and lovely!! I just bought some fabric yesterday(I know...I have a lot already, but I couldn't help it...) and I am hoping to make some skirts to go with these hoodies soon(^-^)!!

There was a Blythe meet happening in Atlanta...since I was in TN, I missed it and my secret Santa Jessica sent me and my girls this super cute hoodie from Blythe Station and the cutest little Charlie Brown book and a tree set...as you can see here...Misuzu is totally enjoying both the hoodie and the CB set...Thank you, Jessica!! It's been about a month since the last time I posted here...I have been having a crazy fall/winter this year...

2 weeks ago, I got in a car accident and got hit by someone(no one got hurt...but the driver side of our car's mirror was gone...(-_-;)....and right after that Steven's grandmother passed away...

Steven and I went to TN for his grandma's funeral last Saturday and we just got our car back yesterday and my father and my step mother are coming from Japan(which is exciting!!) tomorrow...so I will be running around town with them for about 2 weeks...

If you haven't heard from me...I will get around to emailing you or sending something to you as soon as possible!! So, please be patient with me(*v*)!!!

This weekend is Nerd-a-Con at the Columbia State University. Steven and I will be there on Saturday from 10:00am to 6:00pm or so.....We'll have our regular comic books for sale and this time we also have some of Steven's first sketch books for sale!!! I have to say it looks pretty good(^-^).

Aaaaaaand, Tokyo Pop was nice enough to send us some TP swags to give out, so make sure to come by our table and say hi to us...if you are nice to us...we will give you something(^-^)!!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by our booth at the Atlanta School show last Saturday!! The wheather was nice and cool(not too cold!), but it was super dusty all day(*-*;)...(I guess it's because it hasn't rained for a while in Atlanta...)

While I was taking pictures of my girls...some teenage girls came by and said "Look at those creepy big headed dolls"...Yeah...I guess they are right about "Big Headed" part, but I don't think they are "Creepy"!!!

I met some interesting people there....One of them was Japanese!!!(It's really rare to meet Japanese crafters/artists here in Atlanta!) and she draws amazing pictures!! We did some trades and she gave me a bunch of her greeting cards that I totally adore(^-^)!! I also bought some ceramic mushrooms which you can put in your planter or your garden and an onsie with a picture of dog on it for a special someone who was just born!!(I'm sorry that I don't have information for both of those vendors...)

I was pretty tired after the show, so I went to sleep at 8:00pm that night...I feel really old(*-*;).

Mail Box Game!!

Mail boxes....Our mail box got hit by someone 2 weeks ago...We had to get a new mail box and change it...There was a package(something that one of my customer ordered) inside of our mail box when it was hit, but luckly no one stole it (Thank, God!)...I decided not to put any orders in our mail box anymore...It was so sad to see our mail box laying on our yard...I hope no one will hit it again(*-*;).

New Project!

Every year I look for a nice simple A-line coat and I haven't had any luck finding the one I really like, so I decided that I will make myself a coat this winter. I have made 2 coats before, so it shouldn't be too diffecult. I looked for vintage patterns in Etsy and found a pattern that I liked from this seller. I like how this pattern says "A pounds thinner"(^-^)! I won't have time to start making this soon, but I will find a time to make this!! I'm excited!!

Also, I'm working on this secret project now....This is my first time working on making a certain stuff...I hope it will turn out good!! I'm crossing my fingers(^-^)!! It will come out in Nov....I will post more about it later....

Steven and I had our wedding ceremony here in GA.

Our wedding was at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Chruch and the reception was at White Water Country Club.

I asked my 90 year old grandpa to sing at our wedding, so he and some of my Japanese family came to attend the wedding...It was the first time ever for him to attend an American Wedding, to wear a tuxido, and to sing infront of American people, but he didn't look very nervous at all and he gave his speech(which was really hard for Steve to translate...) and sang a soing!!

He passed away this August. He was 94 year old. He was the coolest, the cutest and the smartest grandfather ever...I miss him a lot(*-*;).

Anyway, Happy Anniversary, Honey(^-^)!!

While we were at EAS last Saturday, Linda sanded Sakurako and Kaede's face, so they could no longer be super shinny....

It's been super crazy here in Comic land...I have been inking, inking, inking....(*-*;). I have 18 pages to go until the end of book 2...and I'm soooo tired...

so I decided to take a break now....

Last Saturday was East Atlanta Strut and I had a fun time!!(however... I woke up at 4:00am that day for no reason, so I was pretty much grumpy all day long....agh). As usual, I was with Linda of jeli designs and our booth looked like this...

I started making the Tooth Fairy Pillows for the East Atlanta Strut the other day and realized that I only had about a yard of the blue toothy fabric left...That fabric has been my favorite, so it was kind of sad to cut it up. I used all up to make 13 pillows.....I hope they will find their new home soon.

Book Festival Recap...

Steven and I went to the Decatur Book Festival on Saturday! Thank you all of you who came by our booth(^-^)!!

It was first time for us to attend this event and we weren't sure how it was going to go...On our way to Decatur, we got lost and it took forever to get to the event site, but luckly we left early enough not to be late(^-^). Once we got there, volunteers were there to help us, so it took no time to set up our tent!!

The event was so much bigger than I thought it was going to be and there were a lot of people there!!(mostly families). We weren't sure if anybody was going to want to get any comics...but some people seemed really happy that we had some comics and they seemed really impressed with Steven's work(^-^)! It was so nice to meet some comic fans here in GA!!

Our tent was under the big tree which kept us nice and cool!!

Our table setting is almost as same as this event.

We didn't have anything to show that we were there on behalf of TP, so I made this sign...I know it's horrible...and this made people confused...(they thought we were a comic book store...)

Our girls were there to help us promote Pantheon High and Tokyo Pop!!

I got this from Target's children activity area(Score!)...People were coloring this bag, but I didn't do that since I didn't have any children with me..and I thought this bag itself was CUTE!!.

Greg and Linda came to see us with their girls(Molli and Zelda).

I wanted to have the girls take a picture with Bullseye(Target dog), so Linda, all 4 girls and I went to the Target booth to take picture...

This was after Molli ate everybody's chicken nuggets....Ha ha ha ha!!

We had a fun time at the book fest!! I hope we can attend that show next year again(^-^)!!

In Japan, you get all kinds of cute stuff from all kinds of companies as promotional freebies. When you buy a bottle of coke or tea...you get all kinds of toys or interesting things!! This is really dumb, but this is one of many reasons why I want to move back to Japan to live (besides we will be close to my family)(^-^;).

They are image characters for Aflac(Ok...These guys didn't come with drinks...I think they came from an insurance agency) and they each sing songs if you push their stomachs or heads.

They are cell phone straps.

I have the cheapest and the chunkiest phone in the world and my duck is as big as my phone(^-^) and it even matches with the cell phone bag that I got from VIZ at SDCC.

Muscle man is not swag, but I got this from one of those Gachagacha Machines(one of those toy vending machines that you see near the entrance of super markets). I'm so addicted to Gachagach and I can't resist them whenever I see them in Japan...I love them so much that I'm actually thinking of getting one of those machines for Sweet Honey Complex...Mu ha haha(^0^)!

...and I'm sick. It's been a week since I came back from Japan and my cold wouldn't go away...Steven and I have been going to sleep around 8pm and wake up around 5am(9hours of sleep!!)...I know it's weird, but we still have our jet lag and we want to keep this until we finish the book 2 of Pantheon High, because we get our jobs done so quick, so we can have more time to do errands now(^-^)! I just hope my cold will go away soon...

Yesterday was our volunteer day and when we left for Atlanta, we're already done with our comic pages for the day!! I took my girls to help us(^-^)!!

After the volunteer work, we went to Jalisco to eat our lunch...it's been so long since we ate their food, so we needed some Salsa action!!

I coughed so much last night that kept me from sleeping...it's about 7pm...I should go to sleep now(^-^;).
